Day 1: Setting the Stage and Storytelling Fundamentals
- Introductions and orientation
- Understanding the essence of nonfiction storytelling
- Exploring different mediums: photography, writing, filmmaking, art, and podcasting
- Engaging in brainstorming exercises to identify personal storytelling interests
Day 2: Photography and Visual Storytelling
- Photography basics and visual storytelling techniques
- Field trip to local areas in Goa for capturing stories through photography
- Critique session: reviewing each other's captured images and discussing storytelling elements within the visuals
Day 3: Writing and Narrative Construction
- Understanding the elements of effective storytelling in writing
- Guided writing exercises focusing on personal experiences and observations in Goa
- Group discussions on how to structure a compelling nonfiction narrative
Day 4: Filmmaking and Multimedia Storytelling
- Introduction to the basics of filmmaking and multimedia storytelling
- Hands-on experience in creating short documentary-style films or multimedia presentations
- Screening and analysis of participants' created content, emphasizing storytelling techniques
Day 5: Artistic Expression and Interpretation
- Exploring various artistic mediums for storytelling, such as painting, drawing, or sculpture
- Encouraging participants to depict their own stories through artistic interpretation
- Art exhibition and discussion on the intersection of art and storytelling
Day 6: Podcasting and Audio Storytelling
- Introduction to podcasting and audio storytelling techniques
- Guided recording sessions, creating short nonfiction audio narratives or interviews
- Group feedback and discussion on the impact of voice and sound in storytelling
Day 7: Reflection and Future Planning
- Reflective session on the week's activities and personal growth in storytelling skills
- Goal setting and action planning for participants to continue their storytelling journey beyond the course
- Closing ceremony and networking session to encourage future collaboration among participants
